Board development and retreats
The North Group helps plan for and facilitate board, staff and/or organizational retreats, facility master planning, and strategic planning to help staff, board and other volunteer leaders focus their time, energies and resources successfully. Such plans are grounded on financial realities and achievable fundraising strategies. The Norths help increase board member effectiveness and satisfaction by achieving agreement on what the organization is striving to accomplish and defining specifically what each board member will pitch in and do.

Business plans
The North Group works with the board, staff, and constituents of arts organizations to conduct fundraising and management audits, recommending specific ways to strengthen non artistic operations. Such assessments can lead to business plans that can outline staffing, program, pre-opening, start-up, and operating budget needs.
